About BTEC
the Battlefords Trade & Education Centre Inc. BTEC opened in 1966 under the name, “The Battlefords Sheltered Workshop” With just five participants and one staff.
Our dedication and commitment to providing a safe, friendly, and inclusive environment for adults with intellectual disabilities has remained constant over the past 50 plus years. What started as a small community-based organization has developed into a large centre that 64 participants attend either on a part-time or full-time basis. Our facility is currently the Pfeifer Learning Centre, a 20,000 square foot building that is able to accommodate up to 100 participants.
The North Battleford branch of SARCAN Recycling has been a branch of BTEC since 1989, providing excellent work opportunity to our members, and has become a staple in the community for recycling.
